The Bracebridge Spring Show, which has been operating for around 15 years, is hosting its 2024 show May 4 at the Bracebridge Sportsplex auditorium for the final time.
Starting next year, the show will move to the new Muskoka Lumber Community Centre, according to Christine Cousins, recreation director with the Town of Bracebridge.

“We always try and highlight ‘shop local’. The spring market, I find, is for a lot of people who like to get stuff for their garden or something to freshen up for spring. And after people spend the winter indoors, they like to freshen up their space, with artwork or jewelry,” she said.
The market will feature 35 vendors offering a wide range of handcrafted items, including homemade candles, soaps, home decor, jewelry, art, and more. Admission is free. There are a limited number of vendor spots still available.
“They can call either myself or they can just call our customer service desk and people can grab a table. Tables are supplied,” Cousins said.
She added the spring market is always held before the local farmers’ market opens so the spring event avoids the competition, and while it features primarily Bracebridge vendors, there are still a number of those from across Muskoka found at the various sellers’ tables.

“It’s nice to have something to do on a Saturday, you know, drop by to see people you know, wander through … just to see what’s out there,” she said.

The Best Seat in the House seat sponsorship program will also be held during the market. The fundraiser is selling a seat sponsorship at the new arena for $500, or payment options are available over a six-month or year term.
A placard will be placed on the sponsored seat and can feature the name of a family member, business, sport organization, or service club. Fifteen per cent of proceeds from every sale go toward supporting the South Muskoka Hospital Foundation and sponsors receive an income tax receipt.
